Students are directly connected to non-profit organizations worldwide that introduce them to new cultures and enable direct contact with new communities. Design opportunity gives incredible work experience in a professional setting where the students are fully responsible for the outcomes of their assigned projects. A fantastic experience that improves the student's problem-solving skills by tackling real issues and observing how their strategies benefit the community.

Example: The Design Opportunity presented to students was to create a comprehensive fundraising strategy for Ronald Williams, a family man from Georgia who required $50,000 for a liver transplant. The students were tasked with developing branding, posters, pamphlets, a website, and a video for the fundraiser, specifically emphasising conveying his life story in the most meaningful way. Meeting Ronald and his family and sharing his narrative to aid in collecting funds was an unforgettable experience for the students.
